#originalandthebest

Saturday 3rd December marked Small Business Saturday - a day which ‘highlights small business success and encourages consumers to shop local and support small businesses in their communities.’ There’s plenty of information over on the official website. Understandably, as a small business, we are huge advocates of this campaign!

Alongside Small Business Saturday, was the launch of the week long #originalandthebest campaign devised by our fab friends over at Ellie Ellie. The aim is simple: celebrate the ingenuity of small businesses by shopping independent and shopping the original this Christmas.

We’re celebrating a few of our brilliant friends and their equally brilliant products. Take this amazing Christmas jumper by Ellie Ellie as our first example. They recently took on large fashion retailer BOO HOO over a copyright infringement for this fantastic product.

We love this personal family tree papercut by our super talented friend Kyleigh over at Kyleigh’s Papercuts. Kyleigh creates a huge range of beautiful, delicate paper-cut art.

These personalised drop forge hammers by our friends at Auntie Mims are another example of an original and brilliant gift. This husband and wife team are responsible for a lot of fantastic products, check out their website here.

Our friends at Spice Kitchen offer plenty of amazing and original products, these beautiful spice sets being a prime example. The Birmingham-based mother and son team won a Great Taste award last year!

Last but not least, check out our talented friend Helen Lang and her fab products over at Wetpaint Illustration. Helen designs and creates a variety of personalised prints, combining her decorative lettering style and her customer’s names to produce something truly awesome.
