Literature's Inspirational Creatures

Literature's Inspirational Creatures

There are so many different components behind the makings of a brilliant book; plot and characterisation being two key factors!

Nearly always, we find that the protagonist of a story is a human being, either male or female. But what about the supporting characters? We normally judge the leading figure based on how they interact with those around them, who they befriend and who influences them. Though supporting characters sometimes take the back seat, they play a role that is often pivotal to how the story develops.

These characters can be human but they can also be non-human: animals, mythical creatures, even inanimate objects. Here’s a list of our favourites throughout literature!
