Behind The Scenes At Bookishly!

Behind The Scenes At Bookishly!

Have you ever wondered what a typical day at a small business looks like? If yes, then it’s your lucky day... If not, then that’s fine too. This blog is also an ideal way to satisfy any needs you may have for a good nose -  who doesn’t enjoy having a nose from time to time?

We’ve taken some photographs and compiled a list of the general ongoings that normally take place on a typical day here at Bookishly HQ. It might be more than you think! So, without further ado and in no particular order, here are the various things we tend to get up to.

1. Orders.

They are always the priority and we sort through a large number of orders each day. We accept, verify, make, design, personalise, select, print, gift wrap, organise, package and post them. And that’s putting it simply!

2. Organising

A lot of day to day tasks fall under the phrase organising. We organise stock, numbers, the workspace, supplies, product listings, descriptions, wholesale orders, PR packages, upcoming trade shows, and a huge, huge, huge amount of vintage books (where we find all our wonderful hidden treasures!)

3. Emails

We send a lot of them - to a lot of different people and for a lot of different reasons! Enquiries, newsletters, wholesale, emails to influencers, suppliers and to each other…

4. Planning

We love planning. We plan for a number of things, often all at the same time. We plan for the next season/holiday, develop and design new products, plan marketing campaigns that benefit our customers, plan our social media posts and super exciting competitions (hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge) We plan and prepare for retail fairs... The list goes on!

5. Tea and Coffee

We drink it. Lots of it.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little behind the scenes insight, we love everything we do! Let us know if you have any additional burning questions about what we get up to. As always, love to hear from you.
