Spirit Of Christmas Fair 2016

The Spirit of Christmas Fair is an annual event held at London’s Olympia, a beautiful venue in west Kensington. The week long exhibition, which takes place each November, sees over seven hundred independent boutiques come together to share their expertise and sell their brilliant products. There really is something for everyone: Christmas decor, homeware, stationery, pet accessories, fashion, food and drink, children’s toys - this year even saw a (brilliant) literary inspired gift company take part too. Yep, we joined in on the fun as well!

It involved a lot of hard work. There was planning, preparing, designing and a couple of battles with Ikea flat pack furniture, but by the Sunday before we were all set up and ready to go.

Exhibiting was a great experience. Not only did it make for fantastic people watching, but we also had a lot of happy customers, met some brilliant people and we saw the wonderful Emma Watson - we had a brief chat but she had moved on before we had the chance to grab a picture!

The cost of a BLT sandwich may have been eye watering and the days may have been tiring, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Spirit. It was a lovely atmosphere to be a part of and we learned a lot! If you ever get the chance to visit the fair in the future, then do so - it makes for a brilliant day out!
