Some Good News on the Tariff Front

Some Good News on the Tariff Front

As promised, here’s a little update from behind the scenes at Bookishly, especially for our customers in the US. We said we’d gather all the information we could and keep an eye on our parcels to see if the current economic chaos was having any impact.

Here’s the latest:

Orders under $800 aren’t affected
The $800 de minimis threshold for orders from the UK to the US is staying in place. So if your order is under $800, you won’t see any extra charges.

Parcels are moving as normal
There don’t appear to be any delays in customs—parcels are reaching the US in the usual timeframes. We’ve been tracking both DHL and Royal Mail deliveries, and everything’s running smoothly.

No plans to increase prices
We’re not seeing any immediate impact on our costs, so we’ve no plans to raise prices at the moment. We’re continuing to support the small business in China where we source our totes and really hope they’re doing OK. We’ve worked with them for years and they’ve always been great to us.

If you're a fellow indie business, we see you.
If you're a customer shopping mindfully, we appreciate you.
And if you just wanted some nice bookish stuff without stressing about import tax—don’t worry, we’ve got you.

Thank you, as always, for being here and for supporting what we do.
