Beautiful Lines From Frances Hodgson Burnett's 'The Secret Garden'

We’re so excited to share our new crate with you all! This box is themed around The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Some of you might remember that this book has been a crate once before, making its first appearance over three years ago (pre relaunch). We can’t wait to show you this bigger and better version of it. It’s a wonderful story and an enjoyable read for all ages.

Want to see the cover? 😍

Like always our book box will be filled with a number of beautiful themed items. There'll be books, tea, stationery, art and much more! A lot of the items will feature some of the lovely quotes used throughout the story; we thought it would be nice to share a few of our favourites with you.

If you would like this month's crate (either as a one off bundle or a subscription) before we get started, then you can get yours right here.

“At first people refuse to believe a strange new thing can be done, then they see it be done - then it is done and all the world wonders why it was not done centuries ago.”

Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like? You don’t see it in rooms if you are ill.” “It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine, and things pushing up and working under the earth,”

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”

“She made herself stronger by fighting with the wind.”

“It made her think that it was curious how much nicer a person looked when he smiled. She had not thought of it before.”

The sun is shining—the sun is shining. That is the Magic. The flowers are growing—the roots are stirring. That is the Magic. Being alive is the Magic—being strong is the Magic. The Magic is in me
